Presidential Race and Economic Hurdles
Regardless of November’s presidential election outcome, the winner will face a large economic hurdle. Either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney must deal with several challenges: Europe’s financial issues, Bush-era tax cuts, spending cuts and more. Fleishman-Hillard financial specialist Kathy King will moderate an on-site National Press Club panel discussion, featuring some of the country’s leading business reporters. These experts — Greg Ip, The Economist; Jim McTague, Barron’s; Ben White, Politico — will examine these issues, as well as the candidates’ policies.
